Event Details

The course will cover the following Modules:

16; Introduction to Residential Experiences – Enables leaders to understand the role that residential experiences play in Scouting. The module covers topics including the importance of residential experiences in scouting, programme planning, permits, risk assessment and a range of practical skills. 

 

38; Skills for Residential Experiences – Enables adults to acquire the appropriate skills to plan and run successful residential experiences. The module covers practical skills for planning and running a residential experience. 

 
As part of the training weekend, trainees will be exposed to the use of axes, saws and open fires, along with other activities providing leaders the opportunity to be able to give their scouting sections a brilliant residential experience in an adventurous and safe manner. However, due to the nature of this training weekend, there will be no provision for children. If extenuating circumstances are faced by the potential trainee, contact Camp in-charge (Mohamed Osman) before registering, to discuss;
